Does 1,000 a month sound ok for child support from a guy that grossed 56,000 last year?

She just purchased a brand new car this year, a new computer and new livingroom furniture.

Funny though, as the girls never have nice new clothes when they vacation here to see us for two months in the summer and at Christmas. I always end up having to rush out and buy them new bathing suits ,shorts, tops and decent shoes.
I wonder where the money goes?????
Oh, I remember computers, cars, and sofas...she loves summer time as we still pay her the grand a month.
She really lives it up then.
I don't get child support from my ex-husband for my teenage son. But I still pay for all his flights to see him. We manage without his payments, I negotiated with him to have my son here with us for no child support.

You need to read all the posts to make remarks as I think you missed some.

Trust me not working in this country has been difficult as it is for a lot of people in my situation.
Losing your right to work is different than deciding that you don't want to work anymore.

I would freaking love to live in the USA, cheap groceries, gas, milk, clothes, fresh food, conveniences etc..
But, we are moving to Canada as my husband received a promotion with his career. Thank God we are going back to the real world where I can afford to live.
But there are tons of Bahamians who have it so bad it makes the USA look a tad picky.
They don't have running water, electricity, forget t.v. sets and cars. They have nothing.
They don't have welfare here, a few soup kitchens but not many. No handouts by their government. These people know what suffering is really all about.
They don't have to worry about credit card bills because they have never had any. These people are truly down and out, but now Haitians and Jamaicans have it even worse.
