When you say you "heard from him, do you mean by phone, without the required letter follow-up? What is showing on your credit report on this account? The OC? or a collection agency? Once it is charged off,even if it goes back to the OC/s own internal collection dept. there is some caselaw that requires them to follow the FDCPA,although this is a murky area.
