Medical bills are not allowed to be reported UNTIL they are turned over to a 3rd party collection agency. If this was a bill where you signed an agreement for financial responsibility, it falls under the longer Statute of Limitations for being sued. I would suggest you make payment arrangements if you can before someone files, I am assuming they are substantial bills?
