I doubt you can get your $10,000 in small claims court. Talk to a couple of consumer lawyers and see what they say. It seems you have a case that will fly in District Court, and unless you are thoroughly versed in court procedures, you don't want to file pro se (acting as your own lawyer). It's too easy to screw up and get it dismissed. When you have a case of this type, it doesn't cost you anything, because the lawyer takes a percentage of what he gets for you. Great motivation to get as much as possible. He also includes reasonable attorney's fees in his lawsuit. Linda
