OK, here goes: I have several credit card debts that have gone to collection agencies, but they are well past the 3 year SOL for NC, I don't have the original bills for all, but I do have old collection letters that show they were tyring to collect over 3 years ago. I also know that the majority of these debts are at least 7 years old or very close, but I don't have original bills. I have not even looked at my credit report because I knew it was a disaster, but now I need to start getting some things off. Do I send a letter to the collection agencies to inform them the SOL has expired and they cannot collect or do I just ignore them, (like I have been) and just go to the credit agencies. How do I claim it's overage if it shows up as being reaged or something?
