I have a charge off on my credit for 1500.00 that is due to come off in about 1 year. I am in good standing now and I would like to buy a house in a couple of years. If I were to pay off the 1500.00 now would the 7 year clock start over or would it still come off next year? I just don't want any problems when I start applying for mortgages. I live in NJ if that helps any. Thank you!
