The best way is to leave correct information alone. If you have more than 2 prior addresses, it is a good idea to remove the oldest one by stating it is incorrect, you don't have to specify, but if it is brought up in a court action it is a good idea to have a record of a reason, like wrong spelling, wrong house #, wrong zip code.
