Why Chat, your confusing me to another persons post. I don't have a Sears account.

But, we are talking two different things here, I understand what you are saying.

If I was behind on my payments and the cc company calls up and says they want to bring my account current, (they want their money) If I was behind two months and they called and asked for payment and I made it, I am still going to have a 60 day late reported.
What I am talking about is:
Re-ageing reports as lets say for example, a charge off that is 6 years old on a report its due to fall off the report in one year. The person decides to pay the collection agency because
he feels he wants to, and is tired of getting collection agency bills in the mail. So he pays the amount, the collection agency should only post to his credit reports that its paid. The account would then fall off the report in the following year as planned.
They should not change the date of last activity to the current date and re-report this now paid status charge off for the next 7 years.
I am not getting this from your replies to people.
