Contact the lender by writing a letter of complaint. This SHOULD NOT be a negative. Since this is, I'm presuming, a Federal Student Loan you can always file a complaint with an inspector or ombudsman at that agency as well. Also contact you Congressman and other legislators. More and more people are taking deferment because employment is so hard to find and is causing an economic hardship
