I have had gulf state credit contact me for 3, yes THREE years over a phone bill that was paid not only once, but TWICE (since I disposed of my old checkbook and had no proof). I finally got sick of wasting 2 minutes once a month opening their letters telling me that I owed them the same amount of money for the third time. So I chose to call them. I would have had more response going to the St Louis zoo and telling the baboons my situation. I am sorry that Gulf State Credit has chosen to hire only people that rode the short bus to school while holding their drool bucket under thier chin. But it is not my fault, and I sick and tired of dealing with these idiots! As far as I'm concerned, every agency that tells us to complain to them with absolutely ZERO response, is just as bad as this company. I now fully understand what "Going Postal" means. It is not necessarily from people that have worked in the post office - it is just people that have had to deal with Gulf State Credit! And Gawd bless the person that shuts this idiotic company down!
