I do live in MD. Not even close to the SOL, though.
What I am having trouble with is understanding the defense I can mount against arbitration. If there was no arbitration clause then Wolpoff would simply sue me in MD state court. Or is the fact that they are trying to collect a debt in arbitration as opposed to in court enough of an issue that it is my defense because it undercuts FDCA? I did some more research this morning and found an article about MBNA and arbitration, but I'm not sure if it helps me- http://www.thencc.org/myadvocatemarch.html
