First, I would not, under any circumstances give my bank account information to anybody. I'd pay by money order - I don't think they'd really refuse payment. In fact, send it by registered return receipt mail.

Next write them a letter demanding they send all the information, on or before a certain date, about regulations pertaining to student loans. Then you can start addressing your complaints. The you said/I said really doesn't work. Instead, you get upset - the CA's get nastier. Not fair but that's how it usually works.

Arguing with a CSR isn't going to get you anywhere you need to establish a paper trail in this case.

BTW, what specifically led to the default of your student loan?
