It depends on the kind of validation you sent them, if you did not dispute the debt, and just asked them to validate, there is little accomplished.The safest thing to do, is to send them a follow up dispute/validation,wait the 30 days frm the date on the green card, dispute it with the CRA's(it should come back marked as in dispute if they verify) If the debt is NOT yours, or if there is an error ,you will have grounds for fighting any lawsuit.Where do you stand on your SOL?
