Validating a paid CA debt.. please advise

I have a couple of collections accounts on my credit report. They are both paid, however, how is the best way to get this removed from my report? If I found this site before I paid them, I would have sent a validation request, but what do I do now that they're paid? Do I contact the credit agencies, or the collection agencies in question themselves? Thanks in advance
