Your letter is fine,you do not have to file an id theft claim in order to raise the possibility of misidentification on a validation/dispute letter.
Garnishment is almost impossible when you live in one State and are employed in another. In ay case, they would have to first validate the debt, file and win a judgment all within the SOL. what kind of debt are they alleging, and what do they claim as the default date? Does this show on your credit reports?
