Thanks for the advice. I live in Texas. I have about 50000 in equity in my primary house. When I sell my rental property, I should have about 65000 in unsecured debt. The problem is that the interest on the unsecured debt is killing me - around 15% on avg. How can I get this reduced without going into bankruptcy? I'm willing to pay off the principal, but I can't do it while paying 15%. How can I negotiate a better rate?
