A colection tried to sue me, and i was able to successfully avert that by saying the statute of limitations had past. Now, a year later, that collection agency sold my account to someone else and the new collection agency is going to sue. They claim that since i communicated with the previous collection agency and signed with my name, the statute of limitations starts all over.

They also say that in Washington State, statute of limitation for a credit card agreement is 6 years, not 3. Isn't a credit card agreement categorized as an Open Ended Account?

Are they correct to say that the SOL starts all over, and that the SOL in Washington is 6 years?

Scott
