perhaps, that site is refering to CAs that are still collecting on the behalf of the OC?, If I understand you correctly, 1st, when possible, try to reach an agreement w/ OC, then if there is CA on their behalf theres nothing they can do,, Also if you do settled with an OC, and the OC isnt on the Credit Report, does the CA, have to delete their collection entry?
2. If the CA owns the debt, and agrees to a settlement,, is there some kind of "wording" in a written agreement, where they have to report the item settled, and not sell the remaining amount?
