One more question

I have one more question. Is there any limit to the amount a collection agency can charge for intrest of "fees"?

I had $20,500 in various student loans, according to the collection agency these loans were combined. They are not trying to charge me 3,700.00 in intrest and 6,000.00 in "fees and costs". Can they do that???
