I have recently requested a copy of my credit report from all 3 CRA's. I had some slow pays and charge-off credit card accounts from 1995 when I became pregant and was restricted from work. My child will me 7 soon and I wanted to see how my credit was shaping up now that accounts should be dropping off. I was happy to see that most negitive info. had dropped off my report. The problem is 2 charge-off accounts that have been sold to CA's. The date of last activity varies with CRA's, and OC's and CA's date don't match even on the same report. I started with TransUnion and disputed 3 items. 1.) Bank Mastercard with close date of 6/96 listed 2.) Cavalry Inv. CA's for same Bank Mastercard with 6/00 listed, and 3.) Sear charge-off with close date of 2/99. I disputed all three for the reason of haveing wrong date of last activity and being past the 7 year reporting period. I received the investigation results back and the letter states the the Bank Mastercard was deleted. Cavalry Invs. was verified, no change. Sears was verified, no change.

I believe the dates of last activity to be wrong, since I am sure that all accounts were paid off or charged off due to the above reason during my pregency. My question is, Can I request to see what verification they received from Cavalry & Sears? Should I try "not mine" when disputing these same accounts with the other two CRA's? Or, should I go straigt to Cavalry and Sears?

Any help would be appreciated!
