His credit rating now has a chargeoff on it and his FICO score has dropped because of it.
So, she she did "screw him" she charged, didn't pay and then when she was contacted instead of doing the right thing and paying, she told them to call her ex-husband!!
What could be more to the story than this, an ex vindictive wife? Why does this sound so suspicious to you? some people are mean, vicious and cruel with no regard to anyone but themselves. She had no right to charge on this card. By the way some people don't realize that they should check their credit reports on a regular basis. Its not until something like this happens for a lot of people and then they realize they should have.
Your lucky in the USA how easy credit reports are to obtain. You can go online and see instantly, in Canada the reports may be free but take forever to get them.
