Depends on where you try to use the card. When I was with my ex-boyfriend, I was able to use his credit cards at the stores with no problem, just used his last name and said I was his wife. And yes, he knew I was doing this. Sears was one of the places I was able to do this. And no, he didn't have me added as an authorized user. If a child was 16 or 17 years old and looked old enough, it wouldn't surprise me if he was able to use the card without question. Remember, some of these sales clerks are making minimum wage and really don't care.
