Sears and most large retail stores will accept a teenager's word if the have their mother's credit card and it is a relatively small purchase, especially, as in this case where NO cancellation had taken place AND the card had been paid in full.PLUS, if a teen(or anyone else) went in with a Sears card for "Jane Doe", and said SHE was Jane Doe, there is NO WAY that automated computer scan will kick back the signature. All it does is capture it for future fraud claims. It would be interesting to see if the aggrevated guy here ever bothered to get a copy of the sales slip to see who signed.
