I've been getting bugged by them too, in my case concerning a debt from 1990. Like mine, your debt sounds like it's past the statute of limitations, meaning they can't sue you. Actually, they can file suit, but you can get it dismissed on SOL grounds; they know that, so I'd say a suit is unlikely. The bad part is that they're very persistent. I've been getting calls for the better part of three months, although sometimes a week or two will pass between calls. Hopefully sending them a C&D letter will work.
