I hear some creditors will work with DN and some will not. and instead of telling you which ones wont they will keep trying to negotiate. meanwhile these companies are taken action on their own. Those debts are high enough over 15-25 hundred each you could end up with mutiple suits. and I don't know what state your in but some state allow wage ganishment and some don't. even in the states that don't after getting a judgement they can file an abstract and put a lien on any property you have. in any event I would let the dn do what they will and at the same time answer the lawsuit yourself. I you have money potentially available the citibank lawyer and the other creditor may be agreeable to settle without interest and fee. But I wouldnt let them know the source of the funds just get everything in writing before you pay anything or access your funds. sounds like you want to pay these accounts and get back on your feet anyway...you just want to know what not to do. Follow up on the actions of the dn. I dont know if they will give you money back since they claim to have paid your accounts.
