CAMCO.. my fiance has them after him too, and I suspect it too is a very old debt. Besides their obvious BS tactics, if you send them a C&D letter (I wouldn't even bother with validation on something so very old), they MUST comply or they are violating the FDCPA. You can file a complaint with the FTC and sue them and win damages. They just hope people are ignorant of their rights and keep harrassing. The other complaints sounds like a great idea. Almost sounds like a class action suit might work !!
