The SOL depends on which state you live in. The minimum is 3 years. This is a link to a site that seems current on SOL. You will have to copy and paste to your browser.

It will fall off your CRA 7 1/2 years after the date you first became late. Probably only 7 years. The extra 1/2 year is a buffer for the CRA's to avoid lawsuits.
