Well, I sort of 'hang out' on another credit forum, so I've learned a LOT about my rights and the SOL's. I know these dirtbags probably paid pennies on the dollar for his account, and would still have been a significant profit for them.

My problem now is finding out how old this debt is. My fiance has copies of his CR's from last year, and this debt doesn't show up anywhere (which it wouldn't if it was more than 7 yrs old), but there are no entries from CAMCO either. He has reports from 2 of the 3 CRA's and there's nothing. I guess he should pull them now just to what's there now, and from all 3. This used to be a Chase Manhattan account, and possibly was joint with another person.

My fiance would think I'm meddling if I ask him about this, so if there's any way for me to find out w/o asking him it would be easier for me. I figure I have some interest here, since we will get married :). If I found out he CAN be permanently rid of these creeps, he'll be very happy .. LOL.
