-Just found out that a judgement was filed against me a year ago in NY. (-I was never served, so I'm going to fight it) I am now a FL resident and recently received a letter fron Sears stating that they received an information subpoena from a NY lawyer asking for info on me. My question: Can the NY judgement be transferred to FL without notifying me first? Should I close out the checking account that I used to pay my Sears bill with? -If I don't, will they just swoop down on my account someday? -Thanks!
