YES ! The SOL in Florida is FOUR years, FIVE for a written contract, which is where I believe the car loan would fall. So, either way this debt is out of statute and you can tell them to pound sand. They can't sue you for it any more, and if they do anyway, you can go to court and use the SOL as your defense and get it dismissed.
