default vs. DOLA

I have recently gotten a credit report from Equifax online. I find no default dates, all I see are DOLA or charge off. If I want to bring up the SOL defense (only if threatened with a lawsuit), how do I come up with a default date? Do I even need this if the account is showing up a charge-off?
