unfortunately, no, after default status is reached, being 270 days late, no more deferment,or forebearance, and hes been in default since 1998, but after 6 months of ontime payments, he can once again get fin aid, and has full rights once again for deferment/forebearance,etc, also, before you do ANYTHING;, JC, get everything in writing from ACS, get an exact accounting for everything, and a rehab, consolidation, etc agreement, I am still waiting for my rehab papers, and I in my 4th month,, they keep saying, yah yah the rehab papers are coming ( amazing how fast they could send out CA letters though) in anyother circumstance I would stop paying, but if you enter rehab, and I did verbally, one late payment, you are out, and no more chances, so I just say (LIKE GOLD) copies of the money orders,,
