charge off

I was wondering how bad are charge offs on your report.Reason why I ask is I just put in an application to rent a house and they are going to look at my credit report.I have a few charge offs and a judgement.(Judgement was satisfied/paid in 1997.
What are my chances of getting this place with that and the charge offs on there?
