I'm no expert. I say, send a C & D letter. You can find samples at creditinfocenter.com. Make copies for yourself. Contact your local attorney general's office and state your complaint to them in writing. Include any evidence of harassment you have; a copy of the tape, get an affidavit from your boss regarding the number of calls and what the representative says to him (getting an affidavit isn't hard, just have him/her type out a letter stating the facts of harassment regarding these phone calls and have it notarized.) Review a copy of the FDCA and note how this CA was in violation of that act. State that in your letter to the attorney general's office. Send the letter, copies of all correspondence between you and the CA, copies of the tape, your boss' letter to the attorney general's office where you are located. Copy the FTC on the letter w/ all the attachments. Give it 30 days to hear from the AG and FTC. Copy all 3 credit bureaus w/o attachments. See what happens. You could file a lawsuit against the CA for harassment. However, at this point I'd use it as leverage for negotiating a settlement. If the CA sues first, file a counterclaim. HOWEVER, once the CA or you file a lawsuit, the FTC and attorney general's office will not interfere.
