Yes, they updated the account in 1998 due to some descrepancies. At that time the account was closed/zero balance and has been at that for years. Now, since a CA sent info that they are trying to collect, I've ordered another report and the account is back but with a higher balance due but the last activity is still 1998. CA is trying to collect on the account now as the OC has changed the disposition to Charged off but last activity is still 1998. How can this happen. They served papers and now what do I do? I have some receipts from that time but, not all.
