OK, Ill try to make it short,, Sister had a Mastercard, 1st 30day never ever caught up 3/1997,charge off 10/97 balance 7500. sold to Gulf state 1/1999 (funny they have the fall of date 4/2004, OC 6/2004,,,) anyway, gulf states has status : Included in Bankcrptcy/Collection acct, discharged thru Bk 7,11,or 12, 3/2000, and this is the last time they updated,, My sister never declared Bankcruptcy, I told her this was typical gulf states leave till its out of SOL which would be 3/2003, then dispute it, for fear they would realize their "error" and come sue her,,,,,,,,,,, so today, she gets a phone call from some women at PAY PAX acct in oregon,, the women didnt refer to the original mastercard, jsut said,, you owe 8,000 and change of a mastercard, opened in 1988,, ( COMPLETELY WRONG DATE), are you living at address ABC? so my sis says,, no,,,, yrs ago,,,,, and you are calling me at this number , so why do you think I live at address ABC,,? so the women says,,, OOH gee,, weve "had" this acct since 11/2001, I guess thats why you never got our CA notices,, but listen,, we can settle now, for 5000,, or 150 a month,,, my sister said,, look, give my the weekend hun, Ill get back,,,,,,, so sis calls me hysterically, from her previous suing for CC debt,,,, she still is in SOL till 3/2003,, my question is,,,, one as of today, teh debt is still being reported as A/M with gulf state,, no entries what so ever, no inqueries on experian or equifax,,,,,,,,, just one inquiry 4/2002 on trans union,,, after investigsation,, this is a small CA, no web site, 1 complaint on BBB,,, what should my sister do????? thanks guys, just the fact that this women stories didnt add up, makes me think, no good,,, and my mother says, that a caller ID since @5/2002 is on her phone for PAY PAX,,,,,,, thanks
