Yes, these are Federal student loans. My husbands credit is already shot, so we don't mind if they garnish some, but was wondering how much they can garnish right away. How much could they garnish or are likely to get if it went to court. Do they have to consider my husbands other garnishment if they try to garnish his wages?
I have talked with these collectors before. They want anywhere from 5 to 6 hundred bucks a month for rehab. We can not afford this much a month. There is no way we could squeeze that in. Only reason why we ignored it in the first place was that they wanted around 300 a month, with consolidation. We definately could not have afforded that much before and would have a hard time affording it now.
