Unfortunatly, just about any company that offers some kind of regional or national plans, are going to ask for a credit check to approve you for a new line through them. This is just a fact of life unless you are lucky like that other person and you are given unlimited access in a local area. You will just have to bite the bullet and have your credit down. If you have to pay a deposit, before you do, make sure you ask all of the questions and that it is a company with a national agenda, and not just local agenda. I would suggest Verizon, Cingular, or Sprint. They have some of the best plans running and their pricing is extreamily good if you are looking for a regional or national plan. I you are in need of absolutly no roaming, Cingular is currently running some incredible plans starting at $29.99 for 250 min and 1000 Night and weekend minutes. They have absolutly no roaming charges on their national plans. If you go with Verizon, I suggest that you look at their national plans to. Do not look at their "America's choice network national plans." Even though these plans say they are national and there is no roaming fees, the catch is, "No roaming on THEIR NETWORK" this does not include when you wander out off of their network, which does not cover the entire US! Sprint is the same way currently. The other option is to go PrePay, which Verizon and Sprint probably have the best PrePay programs out there because they allow you roam any where on THEIR NETWORK in the US for the same rates. Good luck!!!
