On June 14, 2002 I recieved a letter from a collection agency saying I owed Charlotte County, FL $60.20 for an in July 1994. My license has never been suspended and the State has no record of this citation. They threatened to put it on my credit. I then called equifax, in which they confirmed it cannot be put on my credit from July 1994(8 yrs. ago). Would you know if there are any statue of limitations on traffic citations that are only on record in Charlotte County and not at the state? Could this fall under statue of limitations just like a normal debt?
