Also I thought about making an offer for about $2000.00 to the collection attorneys but was told they will probably want at least $5000.00. I was wondering if I did that would that hinder the bankruptcy? Also I have no property, etc. in my name so the only thing they would come after is my job. It wouldn't be much I'm just a salesclerk. I'm just wondering if there are any more alternatives other than bankruptcy.
