As for the duplicate reporting of a debt. The same happened with me and my Discover acct., and the CA did sue. I would make a notation on the Discover acct. saying that it was sold or transferred to x-name CA. That way, when someone is reading your credit report, they will see the notation and can assume that the OC and CA acct. is one in the same, instead of looking like you have more credit than you really do.
