The reason it is requesting you to get your report by mail is because you have somehow triggered a fraud alert. THIS IS A GOOD THING.
Do not worry about sending the letter about SOL with a date of last activity that puts you beyond the sol for being sued. PLEASE NOTE- the letter as designed DOES NOT admit it IS your account, does NOT say you have records on YOUR account, only that "records" show it is beyond SOL. It is up to THEM then to produce something that refutes that claim. IF THEY THEN FILE SUIT,(which I doubt) they would need to provide all the records they have been unable or unwilling to provide to you in the past.PLUS they still need to prove they are even ALLOWED to do business in MICH. as a licensed collection agency.
