That's a very good question, I have had exactly the same problem with Equifax.
When I started the dispute process his score was 657 it jumped all the way to 692 while the disputes were being investigated, after the disputes were finished and items deleted the score went to 647.
Even with lowering a credit card balance the score never changed.
I think their scoring system is bogus and unfair.
Makes you wonder why to even bother trying to fix reports.
