Collection Agency Harassed my Parents in a home I did not live in

Hello, My parents (with whom I have not lived with for over 7
years) were repeatedly called by a collectiong agent
about a debt I had outstanding to my university. He was
told I did not reside there and to not contact them but
he still contacted them. My debt to the university was in my own name (I am 27)
and my parents had nothing to do with it. My parents
have had to change their telephone number, and were
told in detail by the university's outside collection
agent about my academic status, the debt outstanding,
etc. Is this not illegal? What should I do?
