I'm 24 and have a total debt of about $8000.
I have about $6000 in school
loans, $400 on a department
store card, and $2700 on a high interest loan that has
never been paid late. I have had past credit cards that have been paid in
full. I have been late on those several times, but they
are paid off completely and the cards have been cancelled. I cannot get a loan from the bank or even get a credit
card right now. My credit is so messed up even though
I have had nothing but late payments to damage my credit. Why is it so screwed?
