You first must dispute the debt and date of last
activity. If the last activity date on your credit
report states 1991 you are ok. If the last activity
states recently they have reaged the debt and you
must dispute this with the credit bureau. You do
not have to pay this debt. the SOL has long expired
on collecting the debt. If you except their offer
you reopen the SOL. That is why they are trying to
bribe you with a line of credit. It sounds like you
may need some help. Many of us have found Junum.com
to be impressive. But for the moment, do not send
them anything. They will stick you. Now if you
happen to get from them a statement that they will
delete the item, after payment you can try. No written
agreement, no deal. PERIOD!
