Hello, Ok, here we go.... due to mental distress seven years
ago, I have upaid bills on my credit
report, its around
$5000.00 dollars, I am still disabled and cannot work, I am collecting disability. Seven years is up now, I went to see what the limitations are for each state and mine said six years.
I filed for
a credit report on several websites, some
refused over the internet because they would not accept a debit card which is all I have.
Somehow, some way, after being accepted on one credit
report website, I got a letter stating that my report
would be ready on the website to review within two or
three days, low and behold, I get this letter from Equifax
(one of the websites that did not let me get my credit report over the internet) stating that I owe one of my old debts. I don't think this was a coincedance at all. The letter said it was from Equifax Risk Management Service. IF my credit report was asked for from Equifax, do they have the right to use the info to come after me after such a long time?, seven years? The date owed for this bill is dated 11/01/93, plenty of time has passed. What can I do?, I am living barely on disability and cannot work. Please help.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Christine
