Unauthorized Transfer Of Credit Balance

I borrowed money from a bank for over $7,000.00 to pay
off another bank account. That check was mistakenly
placed by a major credit card co. on the wrong account,
causing the owed bank to turn me over to a collection
agency. After numerous telephone calls, I specifically
gave my authorization to have the credit balance amount
returned to me. The representative stated the amount
and further stated i would receive the check within 7
to 10 days. Today i called the major credit card co.
was told i would not receive the money, and that it had
been transferred to the owed account,which is now in
the hands of the collection agency. Where do i stand
with this situation as far as the money being returned
to me, so i can return the money to the borrowed bank
and deal
with the collection agency myself?
