That list of factors, along with the weighting for
each factor, is a "trade secret" that is closely
protected by Fair, Isaac, And Co. Kind of like the
recepe for Coca-Cola.

If FICO scores could be "reverse-engineered," so
to speak, than a competitor might come up with a
seriously challenging product, or some activist-types
might claim that there is some illegal/improper
bias that would disadvantage certain groups, (e.g.
racial groups.)

Those concerns are probably on their minds as they
resist the idea of credit bureaus disclosing scores
to consumers.

Supposedly, even at Fair, Isaac, there is *no*
human being who can work out a score with a pen and
paper, so even they may not understand it 100%.

They will only disclose this type of precise information
if/when they get into major legal/regultory trouble,
and are forced to do so.
