I HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY A COLLECTION AGENCY FOR A
CREDIT CARD BILL THAT HAD A LAST ACTIVITY DATE OF 1989.
THEY WANT TO SETTLE FOR 50% OF THE OUTSTANDING BALANCE
PLUS INTEREST BUT HASN'T THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS
RUN OUT ON THIS DEBT? NO JUDGMENT HAD EVER BEEN FILED
ON THIS DEBT. CAN THEY PROCEED WITH ANY ACTION AGAINST
ME OR LEGALLY REPORT THIS INFORMATION TO MY CREDIT FILE?
(THE DEBT HAD DROPPED OFF DUE TO AGE OF THE ACCOUNT)
